Custom, niche web apps have the potential to provide effective visualizations of complex mathematics concepts which help students internalize these abstract concepts. As a multi-disciplinary research team with engineers, educators, and artists, we have the unique ability to co-developing custom apps that are actually effective for the teachers who are using them.
